About Rick Stephenson aka Ricki Martini
Proud 40 year member of The American Federation of Musicians
Rick fell in love with big band music as a child listening to his grandparent's records. A deep love of the music and his passion found him leading a big band at the young age of 15. He completed his training at Toronto's Humber College under the Mentorship of Ron Collier (Order of Canada Recipient), graduating with honours in Trombone Performance.
Proud 2023 Tribute Artist of the Year Nominee at The Josie Music Awards. As a professional musician, Rick has toured with his own 17-piece orchestra as the leader, singer and trombonist with performances on television, MuchMusic/Bravo, theatres, festivals, jazz clubs and many private and corporate events.
Today, Rick sings the Frank Sinatra Songbook in a solitary performance. He is accompanied by a combination of original musician recordings along with his own orchestra recordings in personally remastered tracks.
Rick has a fresh new sound, yet the styling and phrasing reminiscent of Sinatra that delights fans of all ages.
